Paediatric Occupational Therapy
We support children and young people to develop the skills they need to play, learn, and participate in everyday activities. Whether your child has developmental concerns, sensory sensitivities, coordination challenges, or school-related difficulties, our paediatric occupational therapists work collaboratively with families to build confidence and independence.
What is Paediatric Occupational Therapy?
Paediatric OT helps children develop the skills needed for self-care, learning, play, and socializing. We use play-based approaches, therapeutic activities, and environmental modifications to support development and address challenges.
Our therapists work with children aged 0–18, addressing developmental delays, sensory processing, coordination, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and school performance.
Common Areas We Support
- Developmental Delays: Supporting children who are reaching milestones later than expected
- Sensory Processing: Helping children who struggle with sounds, textures, movement, or sensory input
- Coordination & Motor Skills: Fine motor (pencil grip, scissors, buttons) and gross motor (balance, running, jumping)
- School Performance: Writing, attention, organization, and classroom participation
- Social & Play Skills: Building confidence in peer interactions and imaginative play
- Self-Care: Eating, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene independence
- Autism & ADHD Support: Tailored strategies for sensory, attention, and social needs
