Meaningful clinical work, room to grow professionally and a team guided by clear values. The Rehab Centre is a Townsville allied health organisation helping people living with disability achieve greater independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
The Rehab Centre is an allied health organisation delivering occupational therapy, and growing into a multidisciplinary service across physiotherapy, speech pathology, dietetics, social work, psychology and counselling. We support NDIS participants, veterans, Medicare-funded clients, private health fund members and privately funded clients through personalised, professional and outcome-focused care.
We are growing carefully, with strong systems, clear responsibilities and good documentation, so that our people can focus on the work that matters.
To empower individuals living with disability to achieve greater independence, wellbeing and quality of life through personalised, professional, outcome-focused allied health services.
To become a trusted leader in allied health and rehabilitation services across the Northern Territory and Queensland, recognised for high-quality, person-centred, outcome-driven support.
Our values are not posters on a wall. They guide how we recruit, onboard, review performance, recognise good work and make decisions.
We collaborate, share information appropriately and solve problems together.
We own our actions, meet our deadlines, keep accurate records and raise risks early.
We are fair, inclusive and dignified in the way we treat participants, families and each other.
We explain decisions, expectations and feedback clearly.
We protect confidentiality, keep our commitments and apply our rules consistently.
A workplace built on fairness, clear expectations and respect for your time and your professional growth.
Make a real, positive difference in the lives of people living with disability and their families.
Keep developing your skills, with CPD leave built into our leave entitlements.
Work in a professional environment guided by our five values, with clear roles and expectations.
A regular one-to-one catch-up with your line manager each month to talk about your workload, your goals and the support you need.
Mentoring and supervision each month to reflect on your practice, talk through complex cases and keep growing as a clinician.
New graduates are supported closely: weekly at the start, then fortnightly, then monthly as your confidence and independence grow.
CPD leave is part of our leave entitlements, so you can keep growing your skills.
Flexible working arrangements are available where they work for participants, the team and the business.
Clinical notes and reports are part of good practice, so documentation time is protected under a clear TRC policy.
Employed under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award, with clear classifications and pay points.
Approved overtime is managed in accordance with applicable modern awards, employment agreements and TRC policies. Where permitted, employees may mutually agree in writing to take time off in lieu of overtime payment, subject to the relevant award requirements.
Documented processes, defined roles and a Clinical Lead, so you always know who to ask and what good looks like.
TRC supplies your uniform so you look and feel part of the team from day one.
Our values drive recognition and promotion, not just conduct. Good work is seen.
Many people in regional Queensland struggle to access therapy. Our outreach programme brings TRC clinicians to participants in their own homes and schools, and gives you the chance to make a real difference in communities that are often under-served.
Outreach is planned in structured four-day blocks, so clinicians are not left driving long distances for single visits. TRC arranges the travel and accommodation, and travel is in a TRC vehicle.
Safety is built in: a planned itinerary is shared before each trip, clinicians check in each evening, and a satellite phone is carried where there is no mobile coverage. Our Clinical Lead plans outreach and backup clinicians, so leave and sickness are covered.

I chose TRC for our strong, close and supportive workplace culture that encourages professional growth as a new graduate and beyond.
I've loved being part of the TRC team for the past three years. From starting out as an Occupational Therapy Assistant to stepping into my role as a new graduate Occupational Therapist, I've always felt supported and valued. The team is inclusive, caring, and makes work-life balance a priority. TRC has consistently invested in my professional growth, helping me develop my skills and thrive in my role.
In this team, your development isn't an afterthought. When we bring someone new into the team, we make sure they're supported with structure, supervision, and space to find their strengths. We want every OT to feel like they're part of something — not just clocking in and out. We invest in our team because we want them here long-term — not just to fill a role, but to build a career they're proud of.
We hire for values as well as skills. Here is what to expect.
