09 standards Privacy and Confidentiality Principles
- We comply with the Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles, and relevant NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements.
- Individuals have the right to access information about how their personal information is collected, stored, and used.
- Participants may choose not to provide certain personal information where appropriate.
- Individuals can request access to their personal records through their nominated contact person.
- Personal information is only used for service delivery and organisational purposes and will not be shared outside the organisation without consent, unless required by law.
- Information reported to government or funding bodies is de-identified where required and limited to relevant service information.
- Images, videos, or participant stories will not be used without consent.
- Participants have the choice to participate in external NDIS audits and review processes.
- We take reasonable steps to ensure all personal information is stored securely and protected from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access.
